The first SSD is presented with a domestic controller, PCIe 4.0 support and volumes up to 16 TB

The domestic manufacturer Kraftway showed its latest SSD drives by ASIC V1 and ASIC V2 on Innoprom-2022. Both drives are compatible with PCIe 4.0 and use the first domestic controllers K1942VK018. The latter are produced according to the 28-nanometer TSMC process and are eight-channel. There is also support for ONFI 4.0, RAID, software decoding LDPC, monitoring and power management.

The consumption of the K1942VK018 controller is 1-2 W, and it will be used immediately in a heap of different SSD drives from HHHL Cart and M.2 to SSD for Data Centers EdSFF. Kraftway Asic V2 is a HHHL drive, which is compatible with PCIe 4.0 and can have volumes of up to 16 TB. The speed of consecutive reading and recording should exceed 1,500 MB/s, but in the demo shown, we saw 971.32 MB/s and 476.65 MB/s for reading and recording.

The

Kraftway ASIC V1 uses PCIe 2.0 X4, has a M.2 format and will be delivered in volumes up to 2 TB. Read/record speeds will be 830 and 680 MB/s, respectively.
