Publisher Focus Entertainment announced on June 24 that ASOBO STUDIO’s action adventure game A Plague Tale: Requiem will be distributed on October 18 local time. Compatible platforms are PC (Steam/Epic Games Store)/PS5/Xbox Series X | S/Nintendo Switch (cloud version). Also provided for Xbox /PC Game Pass.

According to the Steam/Epic Games store, it will be distributed on October 19 in Japan due to time difference. Reservations have already started, and the price is 6980 yen for the PC (Steam/Epic Games Store) version, and 7950 yen for the Xbox Series X | S version.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a sequel to the action adventure game A Plague Tale: Innocence released in 2019. Set in France in the 1300s, where black deaths are widespread, the main character, Amicia, has traveled a harsh trip with her younger brother Yugo, who was invaded by a mysterious illness and was targeted by heresy.

In this work, they left the devastated hometown and started living in a lively city in the south. However, she woke up again, and she was forced to flee again. Heading is an island with a prophecy that it can be the key to saving Yugo.

A new gameplay video of this work has been released in conjunction with this distribution date announcement. Amisia acts while taking Yugo’s hand while being chased by the enemy. She is based on stealth play, and she is overwhelmed by passing the enemy, creeping from behind, or attacking with a sling stone, throwing items and disturbing. In addition, there are scenes that see the position of the enemy on the other side of the shield with the supernatural force of Yugo.

The horde of rats that eat people, which was impressive in the previous work, is still alive. At the end of the video, the siblings fell into a desperate situation, but Yugo activated their abilities. He manipulates countless rats and attacks enemies one after another. However, Yugo has been fainted shortly afterwards, and he imagines that this ability has some price.

A Plague Tale: Requiem will be distributed in the PC (Steam/Epic Games Store) on October 19 and the Xbox Series X | S version will be distributed in Japan on October 18. Also provided for Xbox /PC Game Pass. The release in Japan for PS5/Nintendo Switch (cloud version) is unknown at this time.
